Product Development Lifecycle (Infographic & Iconography)
In designing a particular business course on Product Development, it became apparent that students not only needed a full visual overview of what the overall product life-cycle process was, but needed clear ways to delineate where they were in each phase. Over an 8 week course, both a master process image and the icons displayed here were used throughout the course in a roadmap-style design to remind what phase of the development they were learning about. Any time the full image was shown, the current section was illuminated while the other portions were darkened. Interactive assessments included quizzing students on proper ordering of the stages. Development was sped up by utilizing existing icon imagery and applying filters.
